We stopped at Wichita Falls Brewing Company while visiting friends in Wichita Falls, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our time in town.
In this post, we’re sharing what it’s like to visit this local downtown brewery, what we ordered (including a baked soft pretzel, garlic cheese bread, and a couple house beers), and whether we think it’s worth stopping in if you’re in the area.
If you enjoy casual craft breweries with good food, relaxed vibes, and a local feel, this spot is an easy recommendation.
The brewery sits right in downtown Wichita Falls, and it’s one of those places that feels like a local hangout the moment you walk in. Nothing fancy or over the top—just a relaxed spot where people gather to drink good beer, catch up with friends, and hang out for a while.

A Great Local Spot to Hang Out
One of the things we liked right away was the atmosphere. It’s super casual and welcoming, the kind of place where you can grab a table, order a beer, and settle in without feeling rushed.
There were groups of friends hanging out, people sitting at the bar chatting with the bartender, and a few folks playing games. It just had that easygoing brewery vibe that makes you want to stay longer than you planned.
Our friends clearly knew what they were talking about when they suggested this place.

What We Ordered
After looking over the menu for a bit, we decided to grab a couple snacks to go with our beers. We ended up ordering the baked soft pretzel and the garlic cheese bread, and honestly both were great choices.
One thing we thought was pretty cool about the pretzel is that you can order it salty or sweet. The salty version comes with mustard or cheese, and the sweet version comes with cream cheese icing.
We went with the salty version and dipped it in the cheese sauce, which was exactly what we were hoping for. The pretzel came out warm with that soft, chewy texture and just the right amount of salt on top.
It’s the kind of snack that’s really hard to stop picking at once you start.

We also ordered the garlic cheese bread, which was loaded with melted cheese and plenty of garlic flavor. The edges had a nice little crisp to them while the middle stayed soft and cheesy.
Needless to say, it didn’t last very long once we started eating it.

For beer, we tried the Alcalde Red Ale, an American amber. It had a nice smooth flavor with a little bit of that toasted malt taste you expect from a red ale, but it was still really easy to drink.
We also had the Lifetime Dreamer Wheat Beer, which was lighter and super refreshing. It had a clean, crisp flavor and felt like the kind of beer you could easily sit and drink for a while while hanging out and catching up.
Between the snacks and the beers, it ended up being the perfect combo for just relaxing and enjoying some time at the brewery.
A Fun Local Hangout
The brewery also hosts live music and events pretty regularly, and there’s an outdoor space that’s perfect when the weather is nice. You can tell it’s become a real gathering spot for locals.
Places like this are always fun to visit when you’re traveling because they give you a little taste of the local community.
