If your idea of a perfect vacation includes private bungalows, poolside drinks brought to you, and absolutely zero stress, then let me introduce you to The Bungalows Key Largo. This adults-only, all-inclusive resort in the Florida Keys is the kind of place where you immediately slow down, unclench your shoulders, and think, yep… this is exactly what I needed.
It feels secluded, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed—without ever feeling stuffy or over-the-top. Just relaxed luxury done really, really well.
Why We Loved Staying at The Bungalows Key Largo
From the moment you arrive, everything feels easy. No packed schedules, no loud crowds—just island vibes and plenty of space to unwind.
A few things that really stood out:
- Adults-only (which automatically makes everything quieter)
- All-inclusive food, drinks, and activities
- Private bungalows instead of a big hotel building
- Gorgeous waterfront views and palm-lined paths
- Staff who somehow manage to be attentive without hovering
It’s the kind of place where you stop checking the time—and honestly forget what day it is.
The Private Bungalows (So Much Better Than a Hotel Room)
Let’s talk about the bungalows, because this is where The Bungalows Key Largo really shines.
Private, Fenced-In Backyard
Each bungalow comes with its own fully fenced backyard, which instantly makes the whole space feel private and secluded—in the best way.
Outdoor Soaking Tub
Perfect after a long pool day or in the evening when you just want to relax and do absolutely nothing. It’s one of those little luxuries that makes the stay feel extra special.
Private Outdoor Shower
Showering outside somehow makes everything feel more spa-like. It’s refreshing, relaxing, and one of those things you don’t realize you’ll love until you have it.

Whether it was a nighttime soak or a quick rinse in the morning, having both of these right in your own backyard was such a fun part of staying here—and not something you get at most resorts.
The Cutest Front Porch
Out front, every bungalow has a cute little porch that quickly becomes a favorite spot. Morning coffee, afternoon lounging, evening cocktails—it’s perfect for all of it. Sitting out there watching people bike by just adds to the laid-back, neighborhood feel of the resort.

Easygoing Activities (AKA: Relaxing Without Trying)
You don’t have to do much at The Bungalows—but if you want to, there are some really nice options.
Yoga on the Beach
Beach yoga was one of the most peaceful parts of our stay. Doing yoga with the sound of the waves and a warm ocean breeze is such a calming way to start the day—and totally fits the vibe here.

Free Bikes Around the Resort
The resort offers free bikes, and honestly, this is one of the best ways to get around. The property is beautiful, and biking along the paths is both fun and relaxing.

The Zen Pool
If you’re looking for total quiet, the Zen Pool is exactly that. Calm, serene, and perfect for floating around or zoning out with a drink.

Pool Valets (Yes, Really)
One of our favorite perks? Pool valets who come around offering snacks and drinks right to your chair. No getting up, no waiting in line—just full vacation mode activated.

What We Ate at The Bungalows Key Largo
One thing that pleasantly surprised us was how good the food was for an all-inclusive resort.
Brunch at Fish Tales
Brunch at Fish Tales was the perfect, no-rush way to start the day—exactly what you want when you’re fully in vacation mode.
Classic Eggs Benedict
Perfectly poached eggs, rich hollandaise, and just the right amount of indulgence without being too heavy. A classic for a reason and a great choice if you want something filling but not over-the-top.

Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes
These were light, fluffy, and loaded with blueberries. Slightly sweet, super comforting, and honestly hard not to finish every bite. If you’re even considering pancakes, this is your sign.

Both dishes were easy, satisfying, and the kind of brunch that pairs perfectly with a slow morning and zero plans afterward.
Sunset Tiki Bar Eats
The Sunset Tiki Bar is exactly where you want to be in the evening—laid-back, right on the water, and basically made for watching the sun go down with a drink in hand.

Tiki Club Wrap
Fresh, flavorful, and easy to eat while soaking in the views. It’s one of those meals that just works in a beachy, sunset setting—simple but really satisfying.

Fish and Chips
Crispy on the outside, comforting in the best way, and perfect if you’re in the mood for something classic. This was one of those “no regrets” orders.

Between the food, drinks, and sunset views, this ended up being one of our favorite spots at the resort.
Hemingway Bar Snack
We also stopped by the Hemingway Bar for a snack and shared:
- Truffle Fries – crispy, indulgent, and perfect with a drink
What We Drank
Whether we were hanging by the pool, watching the sunset, or just relaxing on the bungalow porch, there was always a good drink in hand.
Largo Lemonade
Bright, citrusy, and way too easy to drink. This quickly became our go-to cocktail and felt perfect for warm Keys afternoons.

Islamorada Ale
Smooth, light, and easy-drinking. A great local beer option when you want something refreshing without anything too heavy.

Islamorada Channel Marker IPA
A little hoppier with more flavor, but still super drinkable in the heat. Perfect if you like an IPA that doesn’t feel overpowering.

Stella Artois
A familiar favorite—crisp, refreshing, and always a solid choice when you want something simple and reliable.

Between the cocktails, local Keys beers, and a few classic options, there was always something that fit whatever mood we were in.
The Gift Shop (Don’t Skip It)
The gift shop is small but adorable and worth popping into. You’ll find:
- Fun souvenirs
- Spa bath and body products
- Cute resort wear
- Bungalows Key Largo logo apparel
It’s perfect for grabbing something to remember your trip—or a cozy piece to take the vacation vibe home with you.

The Overall Feel
The Bungalows Key Largo isn’t about doing everything—it’s about doing nothing really well. Between the private bungalows, poolside service, great food and drinks, and peaceful atmosphere, it’s incredibly easy to relax here.
Final Thoughts: Is The Bungalows Key Largo Worth It?
If you’re looking for a luxury adults-only resort in Key Largo that feels private, calm, and truly relaxing, The Bungalows Key Largo is 100% worth it. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down—and then immediately start thinking about when you can come back.
