We’ll take any excuse to stop for a good mini golf course.
There’s just something about it — the friendly competition, the ridiculous obstacles, the random hole-in-one celebrations like you just won the Masters.
So when we were driving through Cheyenne on our way to Devils Tower after being in the car all morning, we knew we needed to get out and stretch our legs.
And when we spotted Wyoming Adventure Miniature Golf, it felt like the right thing to do.

The Perfect Road Trip Pit Stop
Road trips are amazing… until about three hours in when everyone gets restless. We had been cruising across Wyoming’s wide-open landscapes, fueled by gas station snacks and good intentions, but by the time we rolled into Cheyenne, we were ready for some fresh air and movement.
Mini golf to the rescue.
Wyoming Adventure Miniature Golf is one of those spots that immediately feels fun. Bright colors, creative obstacles, and just enough challenge to keep things interesting without turning competitive in a bad way (you know what I mean).

A Little Wyoming-Themed Fun
What we loved most is that the course isn’t generic. It has fun Wyoming touches throughout, which felt especially fitting since we were literally on our way to explore one of the state’s most iconic landmarks. It almost felt like a mini preview of the adventure ahead.
Each hole had its own personality — some straightforward, some sneaky, and at least one that had us saying, “Okay, that’s harder than it looks.”
Naturally, there was some light trash talk. And yes, we absolutely celebrated every halfway-decent putt.

Why We’ll Always Stop for Mini Golf
There’s something about mini golf that just resets your mood. After sitting in the car all morning, walking the course, laughing at bad shots, and soaking up the sunshine was exactly what we needed.
It wasn’t fancy. It wasn’t complicated. It was just simple, easy fun — which is kind of perfect when you’re road-tripping.
By the time we finished our round, we felt refreshed, a little competitive, and ready to get back on the road toward Devils Tower. And honestly? It was one of those spontaneous stops that ends up being part of the memory of the trip.

If you’re ever passing through Cheyenne and need a break from the highway, I’d absolutely recommend stopping to play a round. Stretch your legs. Challenge your travel buddies. Miss an easy putt. Celebrate a lucky bounce.
That’s what road trips are all about.
